Flame PollaBran

Flame PollaBran provides ruminants, horses, pigs and poultry with protein and energy.

Made from a blend of wheat-pollard and wheat-bran (the outer layers of the wheat seed), Flame PollaBran makes a useful and affordable addition to the feed ration.

In horses the starch in Flame PollaBran provides the horse with energy for explosive exercise and conditioning. When fed together with a low starch, high oil fed such as CoolStance, the horse is supplied with balanced energy for exercise and stamina. Flame PollaBran is also a rich source of digestible fibre for horses.

In ruminants Flame PollaBran can also assist in stimulating rumen function and improve weight gain. Its high-fibre flakes provide rumen microbes with digestible fibre and starch, plus rumen degradable protein (RDP).  These nutrients help to boost populations of microbes in the rumen, thereby increasing the beast’s ability to digest and derive energy from fibrous feeds (i.e. grass and hay).  This is particularly useful for ruminants grazing low protein pastures or hays.  Weaners - whose rumens are yet to fully develop - can also benefit from Flame PollaBran.

Feeding Guidelines

(These feeding rates should be used as a guide only. The amount an individual animal requires will depend on the quality and quantity of available hay or pasture, the animal’s body condition and workload or production aims.)

Flame PollaBran is a suitable feed for all classes of livestock.

It is recommended that it be introduced into the diet gradually over a 2 week period.

It should always be fed together with adequate roughage, and free access to fresh water.

For horses, pigs and poultry, it is also advisable to feed Flame PollaBran in conjunction with a vitamin and mineral supplement.
